Overheaing (need big help here)

I checked other posts and didn't find what's happening here.

Driving home, at a light a look down and see the temp max out in the red. I crank on the heat and it goes down a little. Get on the highway, clear thank god, and it drops down to middle.

I just looked, now that the truck is cool, and the bottom of the radiator is wet in the bottom corners and a pink residue ia all along the bottom grill of the radiator.

Any suggestions?

The pink stuff at the bottom of the radiator is coolant - nto a good sign.

The first thing to check is if you still have coolant in the system. If not, you found the source of the overheating - get some coolant in there and hope that you didn't do any internal damage.

Past that... Given where there's residue, then I'd guess that you have a crack in the radiator, possibly a seam; or a crack in one of the hoses.

Had to get a new radiator. The bottom had cracked. Apparently this is common with all toyota radiators, so I was told. I did not go through the stealership.
