no 4hi, but 4lo works
just like the title says. i noticed that 4hi wouldnt engage/light wouldnt come on last night. a jeep buddy calls me up and says hes stuck. go out there, start sliding a bit, so i shift into 4hi. light doesnt come on, neither do i hear that clicking noise from the transfer case. so i put it in 4lo, light comes on, i hear it from the transfer case, all tires start moving now, and out comes the jeep.
i really dont have any other information, i just find it odd that 4hi wouldnt work when 4lo works just fine. anything simple i could check? id like to have my 4hi working in case the snow that charlotte never gets does come. thanks.

i just had my clutch replaced by 4wheelparts.
im thinking since they were dropping the t-case, they might have forgot to connect/do something? is there something i can crawl under the truck and check?
4wd hi/lo worked fine bout a week or so before i took it up there...im really thinking they just forgot to do something....i just find it odd that 4lo works fine.

Same thing happened to me about a year ago. The light wouldn't go on and it wouldn't clunk. The toyota techs looked at it and insisted i needed to replace a really expensive part. I crawled underneath and unplugged the connector...blew it out and replugged it. It's been working fine so far. You might want to try spraying some electronics cleaner on the plugs and see if that does the trick.

Glad to hear it got fixed. Nothing's worse than depending on your rig and getting let down. (Not that it happens a lot with our choice of trucks, but you know what I mean...)
