newbie, would this work?
Hello everyone. Great place y'all have here.
I'm looking for some advice from everyone about a lift. I just ordered the OME 2.25" lift leafs from Wheelers. I need to know what shocks you recomend w/ this, where to get them cheapest, and if the tundra front spring lift would work w/ this setup. by the way, I went w/ 2.25" rear b/c I usually carry 400-500# in the bed. Expecting 1/2 to 3/4" sagging. Thanks for any info y'all can give.
1999 taco ex-cab 2.7 LCE header, love it. K&N FIPK, undecided(too loud, moved the power too high in the revs)

Welcome to yotatech. Most people run Bilstiens but you can also run OME's for about the same price. Ranchos 5000's and procomps are cheaper. With the weight you plan on carrying, I would go with one of the first two. Check the other thread for shock discussions. Check the vendors section for prices. Cannot tell you about the Tundra setup, hopefully someone else will chime in.

What coils did you get? The medium dudty or heavy duty? If you got the HDs the bilsteins are probably going to be on the siff site for you. I thought it was the best suspension setup out. The truck handled like a DREAM. But, there are two sides to that coin and it was a little on the jarring site down in savannah where potholes and train tracks are in abundance. The OMEs are a bit softer, so its whatever you want out of the ride. You could do OMEs in the front and Bilsteins in the back if your planning on doing a ton of hauling. Then they would even out a bit from the extra weight.

I dont think he ordered the front coils yet.
Personally, I'd order the OME HD rear shocks. For the front, I'd do the Tundra coils with an OME HD Shock and Bamachem's spacers. That IS the way to go for the front.
