Talking new muffler suggestions

alright guys, i want to get a muffler on my v6 taco that has a nice low rumble, and will make some noise when i step on the gas, but i don't want a droning sound in the cab at highway speeds.. i've been recommended the dynomax ultraflow.. any thoughts on this, or other suggestions?

thanks
-Russell

I recently went with magnaflow 14" body with hi flow cat and 2.25" tubing. I could not be happier. No droning, and nice rumble at idle. Even the guys at the shop who put it in were surprised that it sounded that good coming from a 3.0.

Russell,

I had the Dynomax super turbo and it was ok. I had the pacesetter tip on it that made it whoosh at WOT but sounded pretty damn good otherwise.

Tom (Tdiddy) has the Magnaflow. I think it sounded better than the Dynomax. No drone either even without installing a tip.

I say go Magnaflow. Axe him which model he bought.

Bob

hahaha.. ok, i called 2 different shops that both sell the dynomax and the magnaflow.. one shop recommended dynomax, the other recommended magnaflow, decisions decisions. The installed price at both places for the magnaflow was about $180 w/ tailpipe and $270 w/ tailpipe for the dynomax.

any last minute suggestions? the magnaflow is lookin pretty good right now..

thanks for all the input

just make sure you want something that loud... I put a turbo muffler on mine a couple years back when I wanted loud, now it bugs the heck outa me and I wish I'd stayed quieter/almost stock.

the flowmaster 60 series is lookin good to me now, dunno if they make it in a force 3. on their web page they talk about force 3 being a little louder than stock then force 2 and 1.

Yea, I bought the magnaflow and it sounded and perfromed great! I went from no mufer (rusted to nothing) to the mangneflow and noticed no loss in power and it sounded great; the mufler lets out a good throaty sound but not overyly loud. I plan on getting another for my 4runner I own now.

I've been very happy with my TRD exhaust. Sounds good, and isn't to loud, but it sounds great when stepping on the gas.

I love my dynomax, but it sounds like magnaflow is the way to go with the cheaper price. I think they sound almost identical also. I hear a drone very rarely once in a blue moon i'll get a drone but nothing bad. Get an exhaust, you will love it. One of my favorite mods ive done!

Have you thought about spintech http://www.spintechmufflers.com/spin...ntechindex.asp

They are suppose to be better then flowmasters and they have a low profile for off roading!!!!
