New Mod

Alright, I had to do it, for some reason I just needed to have a GPS in my rig. Anyhow, I decided on the Garmin Emap and put a 64 meg card in it. I also decided to have them load all the topographical and street maps of Arizona into it as well as the southwest portion of Colorado. Anyhow, I will post some pictures later of the mounting location. Thanks for letting me share, talk to you all soon!

Kewl, I want to get a new GPS one day to replace my Garmin yellow E-trex.
It will probably be the Vista model.

Lee made a wood base that slips into his cup holder, and it looked pretty trick.
I looked on his website, and I don't see any mention of it.
I don't think he's updated his site in a very long time.

Yes, Lee has the cup holders where I do on the dash.
I used a Pro-Fit mount for mine.

The Pro-Fit mounts are probably the best ones out there. Very easy to install.

Sound like a very cool mod. I read an article in the Popular Mechanic's magazine and it told what all that the GPS unit can do. Damn...ALOT! I was suprised. I may have to look into one! Very nice though! :fireman:

You are welcome Mike.
There are a few different brand of mounts out there, but I feel the Pro Fit is the best.
