Need Tranny
Hey guys i need a new tranny or to be rebuilt, you make the decision.....
it slips out of 1, and 3rd unless i hold it. Then it sounds like its grinding the hell out of everything in 5th. Other than that it shifts fine but i dont want to have to hold it in gear. Plus my dad made an agreement with me, if i got the tranny fixed i can go MUDDING!!!!
so whats your take, get a new tranny or get my old one rebuilt?

Price out both in your area. I just bought a new tranny 5 speed and clutch installed from the dealer $2100.00. I plan on keeping my truck for a while. When I priced the rebuilt it was only 2nd and 3rd gear not the whole tranny. Rebuilt installed was 1800.00 with out the clutch. So call around and get some prices. Hope that helps
