Need some input regarding my rear window.

I just changed the rear window motor today.....easy job. But after I rolled the window up, which went oh so smothly, it won't come back down?!?! I have no clue whats wrong with it? I just won't budge one bit. I am going to give it another shot tomorrow and hopefully it will work. But I wanted to know if anyone had this problem and if it means there is something else wrong with the window assembly? or maybe the motor is no good? Show I just take the motor off again with the window up? I have a feeling that it will come down really fast and hard while I'm taking the last screw off the motor. Anyways hope someone here knows an easy fix and lets me know before I spend my Sunday at home, instead of at church with the family.....thats my excuse.

Just a stab in the dark I know that the rear window will not go down if you have the wiper on, so theres got to be some type of safety switch in there maybe you knocked it loose or disconnected it by accident ..
Or maybe you have to have a loose wire on the connector to the motor, may you want to get a volt meter out and check for voltage at the motor when you hit the down switch, if its there maybe the motor was bad.

It makes a noise like it wants to go down. But it doesn't click click click like it used to with the old motor. Its raining right now but I will check out the wiper tomorrow. Do you know if it goes up with the wiper faulty like your suggesting??

take a look on 4crawlers site, he has some pretty good write-ups on trouble shooting the rear window operation. as mentioned above, check all your connections and meter the motor. sometimes its the little things that get missed that cause the headaches!
