Need some advice

I searched but couldn't find what I was looking for...
I have a bit of a sag in the back of my 88 Runner and I'm looking to fix that. Would these do the trick? http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...Ntt=add+a+leaf

I am going to be looking to lift it before too long, so should I just go for the lift now, or the AAL?

I am going to be wanting a ~2" lift-any opinions on the best place to find one?

thanks for the help.

The AAL will make it ride rough, especially on a short wheelbase light rig. I did that initially with my '85 Runner and will never use AALs again. Live with it until you do the lift.

I'll second that. Stock 4Runner rear springs are crappy enough to begin with. No point making a bad problem worse.
If you are doing a lift soon, go over to Pirate4x4 and search the Yota boards for the 63" Chevy 2wd rear leaf spring swap. Good lift, nice ride, flexy.
Someday when I have the bizarre convergence of time and money, I'm going that route.

Add some shackles... easy to install... and can give the little more lift you want.

Marlincrawler has em: http://www.marlincrawler.com/shackles.html Around $70

Remember for every 1" longer the shackle is... you will gain .5" lift. So a shackle 2" longer than stock will give approx 1" lift. Hope that helps.

Thanks for all the help. I think I am going to go with the shackles...easy fix and I can still use them once I decide on a lift.

thanks
