need help quick with oil

need help quick with oil

im trying to change my oil and when i got it jacked up its got this really wierd drain plug and i have no idea how to use it can anyone help me with this. its an 84 toyota pickup 22rec please reply as soon as u can.

Sounds like you might have one of those Fram quick drain type of plugs. Check their website and see if it matches up.

its a lever... pull it down and open it... its like any lever on any valve basically......

clean it up with brake cleaner or somthing before you go fooling with it and get dirt in places you cant get it out. That way when you go to close it back up it will seal properly.

Those are pretty neat just so you dont spill hot oil on yourself.

Yeah. I use a Fram Sure-Drain on my girlfriend's car. It makes oil changes a breeze because I can drain the oil directly into an old milk jug.
