Need Help asap!!! installing donahoe coilovers

I am installing my Donahoe coilovers on my 05 tacoma . Picked them up for 600 bux ... so anyways Im reading the instructions making sure I have all the parts . The instructions have a list of parts that should be included . So as far as the list goes I have everything to begin. SO I get the stock parts off and go to install the new parts and I get to the part where I am suposed to put 3 nuts on the top of the coilovers to hold them in at the top. I was thinking I would just usee the factory nuts but they dont fit the threads are different. So I keep going with the install get everything else in . So everything is ok except I need the 3 nuts for each side to keep the coilover from droping from its perch. So my truck is sitting in my garage waiting on the 6 fricken nuts, The instructions say 3 3/8" nylock nuts and 3 washers . What is a nylock nut and where can I get them. I got these used so I guess the guy misplaced them and didnt tell me .

Please someone help me

Thanks

a nylock nut is a normal looking nut, except on the inside (where the threads are) there will be a colored plastic material, like purple or something. its just to make it a tight fit when you wrench them down. i dont know what kind of hardware stores there are where you're from, but i've been able to find them in most local ones. they shouldn't be hard to find

thanks for the info.... so a 3/8" nylock nut is a 3/8" nylock nut the inside diamater will all be the same ? So If I go to a local hardware store and get these nuts theres nothing other than 3/8" that I will be looking for? Do you think home depot will have them?

Yeah, HD should have them and I'm pretty sure if you buy a 3/8" the inner diameter will also be the same. Take pics of the 'Hoes after you're all done too!

The nylon is the self-locking feature. If you can't find those I don't see why you couldn't use locking washers with a non-locking nut.

thanks for all the help , they are pretty much instaled they just arent secured at the top . I will be making a trip to Home depot this morning to pick up the nuts. I will be sure to take pictures. I believe they are set at 2" right now . The front is a tad higher than the rear. I didnt get any rear lift yet .

are you sure you can't re-use the stock nuts? i've never heard of anyone with donahoes having to go get anything special to install them.

a Toyota stock nut is going to be metric...certainly not standard sized...a 3/8" nylock nut should be easy to find...any hardware store...
