Mods
ok, I still have a pretty much stock vehicle, other than lighting, electrical, and tires. Here is my question: If you had a stock 1990 4runner, what mods would you do to it, and in what order?(some mods may/may not affect others?)
Although price is a concern, pay no attention to that factor right now

Like Cody said, if for off road adventures occasionally, some armor would be great like a new bumper up front, and some sliderz.
For more serious trail work, then a rear locker.
For some ideas of what I have done to my :pig: so far, check out my 4 pages of mods.
I don't have an order in which I do them.
If I get a whim or idea, I go for it and add it to the rig.
A few more mods down the road for me will be an on board shower, perhaps a rear locker, and for sure a new rear bumper.

It is all up to you! It is your truck and only you can make the decision as to what you want it to look like. Scan through the members rigs section and find one that catches you eye and that will provide a place to start. I saw a Runner with some AR wheels and decided them are the ones I wanted...... the ball rolled from there....(more like it took off down a hill at 90mph)

ah, so it's happened to others too
haha
yeah man, it all depends on what you want your rig to be. off-road warrior or street performer, or a little of both. personally, the first couple things i did was get tube steps to replace the stock running boards, and then got a 2.5 inch lift w/bilstein shocks. i'm heading the off-road route myself, but i've also done a few purely cosmetic/performance mods. it's your truck, have fun with it.

I'm with what everyone else has said so far, do whatever you like with it
If you're looking into offroading it, definitely upgrade the rear coils (Downey, Old Man Emu, Performance Products, and I think a couple other companies make somre really nice ones, and it'll raise the rear at least 1") might want to look into a set of Sway-A-Way Torsion Bars if you want to get an ARB or TJM Bumper and possibly a winch
And definitely look into some new shocks. I personally run Bilsteins as do quite a few others on here, and I am very happy with them. Pretty much when my money permits, I do something nice for my 4Runner
Although I put kind of a halt to mods two weeks ago, because I bought a new truck (2002 Nissan Xterra) So that took a very large chunk out of my money (hehe well it took all of my money i've had saved
) But once I get some more money saved up I'm going to start on the mods for the Xterra (I'm still trying to decide which truck will be my trail rig
But the Xterra is too pretty right now to scratch up... For now
Anyway but yeah just do what you feel like with your truck, read through some of the posts on here, and trust me you will be wishing you won the lottery or could rob a bank or something to pay for all the mods you want to do
