Before you scrap that engine, see if anyone wants pieces of it in the classifieds on YT. I searched for quite some time to find the upper and lower intake plenums and valve covers so I could have them powder coated and put on later. You may make more selling pieces than on scrap aluminum. Just an idea.

@dres2k

dude,
Nice Rig! I live in West Cadwell, few minutes West of Newark? Where are you based out of? Maybe we could go wheeling sometime!

Hey man! I live in Mercer County...about 40 min from Newark or so...my sister lives in Hoboken, so I'm out that way every now and then...

yeah, I don't know any good wheeling spots since I just got into trucks...I've been about sport compacts since I was young, but the 4runner kicks ass. here's the other whip that's had my attention for the last few years, my baby (s2000)

when you bought your new Certifit front bumper, did you just buy the middle metal piece or did it come as a whole with all 3 pieces? The previous owner of mine damaged all 3 pieces and I'm looking for a cheap alternative. How much did you pay, also? I bought my sport hood from them and it was a very good fit, quality, and value, so i'd like your opinion.

This build looks great! I would love to do just this someday.

ChildrenOfBodom: I only ordered the metal piece for the front, which came out to $70 or so... For the rear, I got all three pieces which came out to $150ish. When you go on the Certifit site, you can check out the PDF file with all the prices, but I'd go for it if they have what you need in stock and are local to you.

Here's some new pictures of my truck lifted on 881's with TO spacers, and 890 OME rears. Shocks are the new ones on Toytec's site... The 90004 fronts and Firm 60027 rear OME's. Had them on for a week and they're dampened just about right. Loving it so far! The tires should be on soon too. Also picked up a little toy to tow hehe

that flat bottom is gonna look sweet behind your 4Runner. Same color and all, nice!

thanks, and yeah it's kinda ironic that when I went to check out the boat, it was painted the color of my truck haha I'm just gonna hit up some local lakes for bass with it on a trolling motor.

Me and my friend did the ISR mod, and 55W Bi-xenon hi/lo HID's today. Picked up some power, and the HID's are nice, but I gotta lower the beam cause they're a bit high. Hopefully they'll look OK or i might look into a retrofit or something. 4" black deckplate to go in once I get ahold of a hole saw too lol
