An interesting sound while at idle

Okay, here is one for you guys.

For the past couple of months while at idle my 4runner makes a purrring type sound. You know the sound that cats make. The rpm's don't fluxuate when this occurs, it remains steady around 1200 rpm's (if I remember right).

Any idea what would be cause as sound like that?

Maybe, my 4runner is just happy and no there is no hidden cat anywhere in my vehicle.

My truck purrs too. She also sticks her butt in the air when I pet her.

1200 is really high for idle, warm up the truck completely and make sure the throttle plate closes all the way when the pedal is released, it should be anywhere from 650-850 rpm
