I have a small problem...

...but it's driving me crazy. Here's what happened.

Is that fixable?

Edit: In case you can't tell, that's the drivers side mirror.

It looks to me like the screw that goes into the mirror broke off but I could be wrong. If that's the case, good luck getting the broken end out. You may need an Easy-Out to do it. Otherwise if nothing else is broken, it should be fixable. You should be able to unscrew the other piece of the screw and go to Home Depot or somewhere and match it up with another screw. If worse comes to worse, just watch ebay and you'll find a good deal on a used mirror.

Good Luck

looks like an owiee

The best advice I can give is replace the whole assembly they cost peanuts at the wreckers. To take off the mount all you have to do is carefully pry off the the blanking plate on the inside then loosen three screws and pull the thing off. I upgraded mine to the bigger 4runner power mirrors and it was easy ( except for fabbing up a new harness to run the mirrors/windows/locks . Hope this helps Aviator
