How do I get shoepolish off glass?

Im helping out at a school car wash tomorrow (Voluntary community service looks too good on college applications; lol). Im going to get shoe polish and write the FREE CAR WASH and ลลลล on my windshield and back window. How do I get it off?

The reason I say shoe polish is becuase AutoXers use shoe polish. I just dont know what they use to get it off...

When I had some overspray on my windows from getting a fender replaced, the autobody guy used some fine steel wool. He gently ran it over the overspray and it came off amazingly easily. Obviously you don't want to be too aggressive, but it worked great in my case.

I would stay away from steel wool...scratches in glass suck. A mild cleaner and elbow grease should do the trick. If you need something else, try a razor blade, just be careful not to scrape the ends of the blade into the glass.

Get a single sided razor blade. That's want we used when I did holdiay window painting, and thats what I use now to take off inspection and emissions stickers.

Shoe polish is still kinda messy;try and find actual window markers that come right off with even just a dry towel, that's what i used at the strip.
