hosting my own website now...

I set up my web/dns server so now I host my website and name servers. It should work although i just set it up and everyone might not have the updated name server address as of yet. Let me know if you experience ANY problems. Thanks!!

Chris

Now all you need is to move the steering to the other side and you'll be set...

I got through to your site but it's loading really slowly. 3-4 minutes to load the front page. What kind of connection do you have?

You have to figure in the yota factor. Once you post it here it gets nailed simultaneously. Thus causing the slow DL's.

It's much quicker now. Must have been that initial rush of traffic. I was having trouble resolving you through DNS earlier too. I got it right back this time with an nslookup.

Nice site! Got through right away!

Thats a great way to do it. I hosted my own like that for 2 years (till I found darkfiles.net 500mb for $3 a mo). You cant beat the price and tech support Unless you expect hundreds of hits a minute...this is a great way to do it. Cause its FREE! Just be carefull when posting pics on these forums...make them small or just attach them. Otherwise you'll be worse than dial-up. I usually just use my ISP's free webspace to do that...

Again, nice work!
