Not much room back there for sure.
My sons step brother came by the other day with a single cab Nissan, and it sounded good.

He also has no space for a sub box, and I asked how he was getting all the bass.
He was using an 8" Bazooka tube. It may have been the un-amped model, as he was feeding it from a 4 channel amp, and the other two channels were pushing 6.5" speakers he had behind him in the sides.

It sounded real good.

I don't know what kind of music you listen to, but I listen to rock, bluegrass, and lots of talk radio. In my 72 Beetle and my 93 Paseo, I found a single 6.5" sub in a tube (some forgotten Punch setup) with an 80watt amp provided plenty of bass (actually turned it down a bit). I would think a single 10" in a standard cab pickup would be plenty. Just my opinion....

yeah, i have a single MTX 12 in my Runner with a 700w amp, and its plenty for me. I can hear it just fine on the highway with all the windows open. Plus, with the small cab, you won't need much, it will be practicly in your lap .

yeah corey i looked at those bazooka tubes at circut city.. they are damn expensive and dont know how much bass i could get out of them, it was about 150 for the 8" tube unamp'd. the amplified one was over 300. i just ordered a custom 10" MTX sub and box, which will be $200. the store that orded them for me has lightning amps for sale, do you know anything about those?? thanks for the help! see ya

Don't know much about those amps, though I have heard of them.

Did you also look at Infinities Bass Link?
I think that is what they call it.

Here you go.

It's a self powered sub.

I know it's a bit late, but Kenwood makes a similar device that consists of a 5" or so sub with a 6.5" passive radiator. Included is a 30watt or so amp. The entire package looks smaller than the Infinity and is about $200. I found it at the same site Corey linked to for the Infinity. I may end up getting the Kenwood for my Runner.

Edited to add: The sub is a dual voice coil speaker. The amp is 30watt RMS x 2. Here's the link:

Go to www.sounddomain.com go to member pages and do a search for toyota tacomas. You'll be able to research all kinds of rides with different audio setups. That should help.

a buddy of mine has a Taco with one JBL 10" and it hit hard. there is no need to have 2 12s back there, itll take up all your space. you would prob end up turning them down anyway, so might as well stick with 1.

I had two 10" subs setup in my 1978 f-250 regular cab a while ago. I custom built the box. The bad thing is that the seat muffles out the sound so you can feel the bass but can't understand what they are saying.
