Hella H4 conversion?
I've searched through the forum and ive seen people talk about Hella's H4 conversion lenses. I have a 93 pickup with silverstars in them and they work awsome. I've seen conversions on ebay but assumed they are cheap...Where could i find the hella conversions and are they worth it if i already have silverstars?

You might first consider upgrading the wiring to the headlights first. That way you are getting everything out of whatever lights you decide to run:

I run the Hella H4 headlights, they work well and once installed, you only need to change bulbs if one burns out, not replace the whole lamp assembly. Easy to carry a spare and you have a wide choice of bulbs.

I put in a set of those diamond clear reflector type lights. Yes, they are cheaply made all right... But luckily the ones I got do have a very nice beam. Others may not.
Put whatever bulb you like in there, they usually come with some generic import bulb that puts out really blue light. I hate that and went with Piaas. What an amazing difference having actual white light instead of that bluish tint!

Between all the lights I've replaced in recent years on various vehicles I have quite a collection of blue bulbs (every one labeled super hyper ultra white 50 60 70% brighter than regular bulbs, blah blah blah total and utter BS...)
It's really simple -
1) any light bulb that isn't an actual H.I.D. module for use in High Intensity Discharge systems, ANY bulb that says H.I.D. anywhere on the label - just put it back on the shelf and keep looking, they are lying to you and hoping you are too... not well informed ... to know better.
2) A bulb that is tinted blue is NOT imitating HID. It is merely a blue bulb, and blue is less illuminating at night and does not provide better light to see by. Really good really white bulbs mostly do have a slight blue tint to the bulb due to the Xenon gas, but it's not very dark. The difference is noticeable.
The odd bluish or purplish tint you see when you look at an HID beam is a by product of the plasma process - they do not put out blue light - they put out Very White light, but the eye sees that bluish cast when you look at them. When you look at the objects they illuminate you don't see blue.
