Guess what happened to my CB Antenna!
I pulled into the garage the night before last, and apparently I didn't pull up as far as I usually do. When I usually pull in my antenna catches and the pops into the garage. It's about an inch and a half to 2 inches taller than the opening. Anyway, it didn't pop in, and when I hit the button to close the garage, the garage started taking my antenna down with it...Now I have a heavy duty spring. So I hit the button jumped out looked back due to a strange noise, and said Oh shat! I could do anything but watch...lol I just watch it bend all the way down until the door wouldn't close, and the door came back up. I'm thinking it should be okay because of the spring...Nope. The spring didn't "spring back up fully straight...Instead it has a more than slight bend in it. Good thing I bought two huh.
Has anyone got any other Antenna Stories to share?

lol That reminds me of a friend of mine. He bought a 5' antenna, and then decided to park in his parking garage at work. In the garage there are these cement beams, and his antenna popped everyone of them. It was hilarious. The entire time driving through he's like d@mn d@mn d@mn etc.

hmmm. a guy down the street had a toyota van with one of those long whip antennas with the spring. He went around a corner and the antenna swung around and clipped an old woman on the sidewalk. She was rushed to the hospital but died unfortunately. Take a guess what she died of.

I got a really high antenna and drove under some transcontinental 2,000,000v lines and clipped one of them and got zapped. Now I’m picking up transmissions from the Mars rover now, and have superhuman powers.

i had two 60inch whips on my blazer ( for seperate radios ) and came to some quick stops and they quite literally whiped my truck and on occasion added dents to it.

HA! I have a 3' Firstyk, and driving through the Bellevue Square Parking Garage I get such funny looks, especially since it has a spring, so it wobbles back and forth, nailing the top of every peice of cement hanging down. I just crack up when it happens

I laughed my you know what off at this one dude.. He was driving down my street with at least a 5' antenna on the top of his truck, and a large @ss lift to boot. He ran under this tree infront of my house and the antenna caught a limb, bent back as much as it prolly could and then sprung up and smacked his windshield. He screamed slammed the brakes and almost ran into some person's yard. Course i was too busy laughing to care. It was just the funniest thing but I kind of felt sorry for him later because it cracked his windshield too.
