http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...00&catalogid=2

It's saying a new genuine oem sport hood for a 4runner for 244 bones, how can this be? just randomly clicked on the advertisement on the ttora forum and checked it out. anyone have any history or experience with this site?

Thats the price for ONLY the hood. You need several other parts, including the actual SCOOP and hardware...PLUS painting. I'd expect at least $600 when done.

The scoop is a plastic piece that attaches to the metal shell of the actual hood that you linked to above with said hardware. You need it.

I don't understand what other parts you would need? The scoop is not separate from the hood. Unless you're talking about the little plastic insert. Even then, it wouldn't be that much to get---besides, it's non-functional, anyway.

The latch, hingles, etc. should all be the same for regular hoods.

EDIT: Just read your post. I'll have to go check to see if it's two separate pieces. I swear it looks like it's just one piece.

their is a peice in front of the buldge of the hoodscoop, thats the part hes talking about

the buldge is part of the hood its not seperate so you cant modify your hood. you need this one or get a different scoop and cut a hole and do it that way.
