Throttle body will have to come off. You need access to the bolts to remove the fuel rail. IMO it would be much more difficult to *attempt accessing the injectors with just the throttle body off, than removing the plenum. I have done mine three times (unlucky injector man). After you do it once, its a no brainer doing it again. There's a few tricky spots but its not bad.



Replace O rings definately. The three times i had to replace an injector i just re-used them all. The last time i started having them stretch out and tear. When that happens you 1. have fuel leaking everywhere. 2. Have to repeat the entire job after re-assembly. 3. When you repeat the job, you're basically huffing gas for as long as it takes you to do it. In my experience, i was huffing gas for about 45 min.


That makes 4 times i have replaced an injector. # 4 was simply because i thought, "hey i've reused the O rings three times now, lets go for 4.)

Fuel is flammable. Engines create heat. If you're lucky it will just be an inconvenience.
