Got the TJM Bumper installed... Oh, yeah
Got the Aux Fuse Block installed... Oh, yeah
Getting ready to install the CB and PIAA Fogs.
I have seen all the write-ups on all that. But, I have a couple of questions.

My 2000 LTD 4Runner came with the factory fogs, and there is a fuse there for 15 amps. My PIAA's are 85w each (I have two (2)).

1. Do the factory fogs use a relay?
2. If they do, is it possible to patch into the wiring for the factory units?
3. If not, why not?
4. I have purchased a factory switch, but wondered if I could use the switch that is on the turn signal arm?
5. The PIAA harness looks like it does not have any fuses inline anywhere. (unless it is well disguised, or part of the relay) Anyone have any experience with them?

Yeah, does anyone have a wiring diagram of either year? Because I think they are different. I had my hellas hooked into the stock wiring and they worked fine for a while, then one day they stopped!? Could someone with a 98 (or older) with the factory fogs look behind their switch and tell me if all three tabs of the switch have wires on them? Mine don't and I'm wondering if maybe one wire got sucked into the dash. I can't find a fuse anywhere either..?

Sorry I can't help you on your fog question, but I can say that my hellas worked fine for a couple months with the stock wiring on my 98. Also, where are you mounting your antenna for the cb?

2. Yes. I wouldn't do it unless you know the amps of it. 30amps should cover the lights.
3. Possible wimpy relay.
4. Yes but you will need to know which wires to use.
5. I would put an inline fuse in. It's prob 15 amps but I could be wrong.

Actually I really studied pics of your 4Runner because it was the only one I found that had a TJM-15 and my cololr scheme. I love it!!! Pics later in a new thread. Also, the switch I bought (to fit the punchout on the dash) is like the one Waskilly and Corey use in their write-ups. It has three leads without any soldered connections, just male blades.

I would use the wires that are dangling behind my new TJM. I don't need to get to the rotating switch, because the leads to the lamps are right where I left them when I took off the original bumper.

Does anyone know where the relay to the factory fogs is? Or, what amperage it is rated for? The fuse for the factory fogs is 15 amp. My fogs should draw 14.16 amps. This might be cutting it a bit close.
