Hello fellas. I finally found the noise that has been getting on my nerves soooo bad. Took the inspection cover off & found that I had a cracked flywheel. Got one from the stealership for $171.00 (ouch). I am going to be replacing it tomorrow. The book gives 10 hours to do this!!!! It is a 95 4 runner v6 auto 4x4. Have any of ya'll found any shortcuts? Is there enough room to "slide" the tranny back enough to have a 3 or 4 inch area to work with? Any comments will be appreciated. I will be sure & eat my wheaties before starting the project. its pretty simple, removed EVERYTHING so you can get to the flywheel, its not hard and there is no shortcuts, but it just a lot of stuff to take off just to get to the flywheel.
