Engine Swap 3VZE
I have a 1994 Toyota, Ext. Cab, 4X4, 3VZE V-6, Automatic. I have found a 3.0 from a 96 4wd pick up that I can purchase reasonably and would like to know if there are any big changes that I will have to solve in setting the complete 96 3.0 into the 94 that had a 3.0. The 96 was manual shift so I know that I’ll need to replace flywheel with my driveplate/flexplate. But does anybody know about the electronics, sensors and other small stuff!! I thank you in advance!!

Will do and thanks for the reply. The 3.0 and the 3.4 are basicly the same engine other than the displacement are they not. I know it looked the same as mine and didn't pay any attention to the little plate on the top!!

Update on the 3.0 engine, The 3VZE is from a Toyota pick up 4X4 5 speed manufactored 10-95 to conform with 96 emissions, mine is a Toyota Pickup 3VZE 4X4 Automatic manufactored 6-94 to conform with the emmission of this date. My question is will the all the sensors have to be change over are will all hook up and work??

Get as much as possible from the donor truck. I swapped my 90 for a 95 and the differences were pretty eye opening. Just a hint. Don't cut any wires without thinking long and hard about it, or cut past the connectors so that you have both halves. You may need your oil pan but not too sure about that. Take the wiring harness complete and the computer. My 90 computer works with the 95 engine but not as well and the gas milage is different. just some thoughts.
Oh yeah and sensors? Grab them all and don't forget the O2 sensor(s)
