emblem removal questions

I have read alot about taking the emblems off but I wonder about putting them back on. What seems to be the best method for both removal and replacement?

Removal: Hairdryer, Goof-off, dental floss, rag.

Reinstall: Double-sided sticky tape, or new emblems if that does not work.

Piece of cake. The less emblems the better, IMO.

Let me get this straight....if I goof off they will come off?

Anyway, new emblems come with an adhesive apparently. Is it possible to get this adhesive? The double sided tape I have seems a bit thick.

You are correct. Take the "T" emblem for example. Good luck placing double-sided sticky tape around the back of that one. It's about 1/8" wide in some places.

Once removed, I would count on getting new emblems should you ever want them back on. My question is: Why would you ever want them back on?

Well they could be replaced in different locations. Individuality is a big driving force in modding.

Dont forget, some emblems like the "T", have two pegs the go into holes in the body. The "4Runner" emblem by the tailgate latch does too if I am not mistaken.

The 4Runner emblem is not on the license plate surround on an '01. Its off to the left side of it so I dont believe it has any pegs. I didnt know the "T" did so thanks.
