I had one on my v6 ranger just because it was such a dog. They really do help and you can tell it in the throttle response. I dont know about the yota's but the ford fan was heavy and hung right on the waterpump. I got an entire kit from Summit which explained what size fan you needed for what size motor and it was auto on and off. Spent about $150 for the whole kit.

Or read this: https://www.yotatech.com/~corey/tech...fan/churnd.htm
I would pick a taurus fan over that one though.

The Taurus fan mod is cheaper and the results are the same as a more expensive dual fan set up - arguably better.
Don't expect your rig to be a screamer after a fan mod.
I would get Intake/Header/Exhaust first if I had the 22re.

You do not want to be stuck with a fan that'll let your engine overheat slowly sitting at a stop light.

I would, wish I had, go with the taurus fan. I have a Hayden from "the zone". Let me say it sucks. It does alright in town but its not strong enough for wheeling purposes. I plan on switching to the taurus fan soon.
