E-Brake help on a 91

I find that i have to yank my e-brake so far out to make sure the truck wont roll. How can i tighten the resistance on the line, with out replacing the wire.

Any help would be appreciated.

Your rear brakes are probably in need of a good tightening. That should solve the problem. But if it doesn't, look under the truck find the brake cable (somewhere near the gas tank IIRC), there will be a bracket where it 'Y's to both of the rear wheels, you can tighten it there as well.
