dual catback question

I have the option to buy a custom dual catback system from a buddy for 200 bucks. The thing is..its off a taco...can I retro fit it to my runner? or is there too much trouble?

Well, from what I have been hearing, the spare tire gets in the way and you can't run a true dual cat-back exhaust, there is no place to run the one tube! I am not too sure if this is true, because I have a 1992 and you have a 1996, but I am just telling you what I have heard! Sorry, and I hope that this helps! :fireman:

Stupid spare. If you really want a cat-back, you can always get rid of the spare and put it in the trunk! Then you can have it. Just a thought! :fireman:

You can do like what Jason and I (and some others) did. Which is to install a "dummy" pipe on the driver's side. Check out my web site for info........AND YES THE DAMN THIGNS ARE EVEN!

Hey guys... with the rear exit... have you had any problems with the exhaust coming up into the car when the rear window is down? Also, How did they secure the dumby pipe under there?

Thanks!

My only problem with a dummy pipe is how cool I'd feel when it was cold out and you can see exhaust coming out of only one pipe...

The rear exit pipe will have more exhaust entering through the rear window if it's down. I hardly ever put it down. The fumes get bad. Being where I live, the AC is on all the time anyway.

Gotta love that back side!
See, i'm a huge fan of the back window being down... thats another reason why I think I might try the side exit (front of tire) My only concern is that it will be too loud . I love the way both of your systems look though. What tip did you use brian?
