downey 3vze ceramic header group buy

Ive talked to a company called cyber auto sales and they talked to downey and will be able to do a group buy.

Downey says they would like to see 20 headers before they can discount the price

they are saying about $420 maybe even less but will need a number first

as with all group buys please no maybes, i know a lot of peopel are looking for 3vze headers right now and i thought i would try to organize this for you guys

If you want the headers please pm me

this isn't just for yotatech...tell EVERYONE you know espeicaly on other forums because the more headers i sell the better price i can get for you guys.

so get out there and post a link to this thread!

Not much incentive. I found 3 different places on the net that sell Downey ceramic headers for the 3vze for $440. Even against the list price of $480 that's not much discount. $420 SHipped would be decent. Cutting out the middle man (cyber) would be even better.

haha well now im putting downey and cyber's power against eachother

i just called downey and they only have about 10 cermaic headers made right now and will give 10% off for every 20 buyers

they have TONS of chrome headers and will offer 15% off of every 20 buyers...not too great but well see what cyber comes up with

Think I'll wait for the Thorleys. My new policy is anybody but NWOR or Downey. Even though I've never dealt with Downey before. But I think I've heard enough about them, and everybody knows that NWOR sucks!

Good idea but I think I would rather have a group buy for the header installation...thats probably the single biggest reason I haven't done the headers already. That and all the other parts to complete the exhaust system always seem to add up to about 1K (from Downey catalog).

LOL I hear that!
I nearly bought a nice new fuel injected small block the other day (VERY good deal from someone at the office.) But then I totalled up all the extra bits (radiator, mounts, bellhousing, headers, exhaust system, etc, I decided to pass. As long as the 3.dontrushme is running fine I'll just leave things alone.

Dont Do It!!!

That is still to much money. I bought my Downey Ceramic Headers for my 91 V6 for $354 from Baja Concepts in Fallbrook, CA. Here is a link to their page with their headers on it...BajaConcepts . The owner was real cool and was familiar with YotaTech.com. I only can vouch(sp?) for my experience but you may try talking to them as well.

EDIT:I actually paid $345.00, prices went up. Their Phone # is (760) 723-2117

Yes REAL Downey Ceramic headers. Brand new in the box, sealed shut. I personally drove down there expecting to be upset or ripped off, but instead was extremely happy. I even bought more stuff from them while I was down there.

I straight up asked them how they do it. There response was that they were still making a profit from the headers at that price! Downey has a huge mark up on the products to recoup the R&D and Testing to comply and become C.A.R.B. legal. Don't know if this is all true but this is what I was told.

ok so heres the latest news

Sam,
Please check back with everbody you spoke to. Have them check if
the pricing they got is the headers alone...($499.09 retail), or headers
AND crossover adapter...($619.47)! Our deal would be complete ONLY,
headers and crossover for $440.00 per person (no additional amount for
freight). That is a deal, but... <isn't there always a but>, but Downey
will only offer this deal if they ship them to ONLY one location. That
means you and your fellow 3VZE owners would pick one of your members to
receive the entire lot and then distribute them yourselves. That is the
best deal I can make.
We will be waiting for your response. If you need more details,
please, don't hesitate to respond. Thanks for your continuing interest in
The CyberAuto Family of Automotive Performance Web sites for your
performance needs.

i don't know about you guys, but that would be a ÅÅÅÅload of work\space that i don't have.

but on the bright side you get the cermaic headers and crossover for $440+shipping which is a pretty good price. If anybody wants to jump in to take over this deal feel welcome to because i dont think my rent's would be too happy when 20 big boxes of car parts are sitting in their garage.

let me know...
