I had one of those taken to my rump in the 4th grade.
I skipped a whole week of school.
Stayed home and watched TV, ate ice cream from the freezer, and made a fake note to take to school the following week.

And it was the principal who whacked me with it, not my parents.
His had holes in it though so it would travel faster on the swing.
Good old board of education.

3) Sharing information about our mods for those who might want to follow in the same path
4) With any public presentation comes criticism, whether it be HIDs, a SAS, or putting spinners on your wheels, some folks likey, some folks hatey.

If you can't stand the criticsm, which can be construed or interpreted as a personal attack since an individual has done the mod, then simply don't play the game.

Best advice I can give is mod YOUR truck like YOU want, grow a thick skin, and post up the mods for others to share in. Someone will appreciate it and learn from it, whether to do it or not to do it.

Thus we are a community.

Well said..not everyone is gonna like what another has done. Some will praise, others gain knowledge to follow suit or do something completely different.

I love moding my YOTA just as much as the next guy, i mean that's why we all drive Yotas.

I like Fo_Sheezy's mods.

Ive read everyones replies and agree with the message. I dont care weather or not you like my or anyone elses mod's, just no need to be a dick about it. After my HID's are installed. I will post pics of them and of my reverse indiglo gauges I just installed. All critiques will be welcome.

My elementary school principle had a nice leather strap... he kept it lovingly oiled and hanging on the wall in his office... never recieved it but I did see it... too bad they can't use those excellent behavior modification devices anymore...

Only once? I got my first one in the first grade & my last one in....let's see here, ummm....8th grade? I think. I've had them broken on me before; the secret was to laugh when they were done & tell them "My dad using a rodeo belt buckle;that thing you got there ain't ****"

I started just getting love taps, detention & suspensions after that.

Doing the illegal HID mod, is kind of like doing the 1 lug-nut mod. You might get by the entire life of the vehicle just fine, or you might cause an accident in the first 10 minutes.

HID'S BLIND EVERY SINGLE VEHICLE THAT DRIVES IN FRONT OF THEM OR OPPOSITE THEM

How are those two things remotely the same?

You know, it doesnt bother me. Personally i'm more blinded by people who have mis adjusted headlights. If im blinded..I look to the right at the stripe on the road like they say to do in drivers training until the car goes by. Even in my wife's lexus, which is obviously lower, it doesnt bother me really. no biggie

HAHA my dad used to spank me...til like 9th grade I think...

when I was younger, at school, I would do the EXACT opposite of what my teachers wanted...so I got into some deep trouble...

I was SO special, that I had to wear a paper on my shirt with 5 tabs, and when I was bad, they would rip off a tab...I normally went home with no paper left haha...if I got 20 tabs (4 days worth), I would get Baskin Robbins and that usually took MONTHS...lol and that was just kindergarten! They got more and more creative each subsequent year

I've been spanked with paddles, leather belts, hangers, switches (the WORST), and PVC pipe...and I've had nearly ALL of the above broken on me lol

Never the worse for wear! and only made me become a MODEL STUDENT!

Best statement so far. And lets remember it's about the information and the knowledge; whether its right or wrong or congruent with the law is almost always a separate matter to be discussed elsewhere.

If you read between the lines of this thread...it becomes obvious...this thread isnt about HIDs at all...

Its about the people who ACTUALLY OFF ROAD picking on the ricer boys because they dont belong on this site...Then the ricer boys retaliating by saying that big tires are just as dangerous yadda yadda yadda

.....just my keen observation....I cant believe this thread is still going either....
