Mmm, I love the drama

Edit: However, I also do not see the correlation of HID's and big tires.

My point to the OP is that we disagree. I am sorry that he feels that if people don't agree he can't post.
The OP has an EXCELLENT point about personal attacks. I hope the Mods clean up FoSheezy's thread, because, IMO, "You're Stupid" is not legitimate criticism, except maybe in political threads. LOL, J/K

my thoughts almost exactly....except i rarely get blinded. when i do its a big 250. i dont mind the beemers/low cars so much, but its when the big escalades and lifted 250s and such have the hids, whether cheap or true, that bugs me. hids are never aimed right from the factory, there was a thread on this, about aiming the hids with people in the car to compensate for people being in it, or something.

Man,this is the most exciting yotatech has been in a while and all within the rules so far.
I know we got winter blues and that does help fuel these threads but remember we all are still here cause we love Toyotas.

EXACTLY. MY opinion. Because HIDs affect MY life. They blind me, and thats what is important to ME.
As I said in the other thread, I have been writing letters and gather support to make stiffer penalties in CO for these lights. Its going pretty well so far.
YOUR opinion is that they are fine. Cool. I disagree. I don't believe we are required to agree on this site. I'm not sure why you feel I shouldn't express my opinion, within the rules of the site.

I can't believe this thread is comparing tire/wheel mods with cheap ass ty HIDs. Tires/wheels don't affect others on a day to day basis. Sure you can retardedly argue about a wheel falling off, but day to day that's not common.

Posting up any mod thread is about several issues:
1) Look at what I did! (we all like the attention)
2) Sharing our enthusiasm for modding our Toyotas, however that may be
3) Sharing information about our mods for those who might want to follow in the same path
4) With any public presentation comes criticism, whether it be HIDs, a SAS, or putting spinners on your wheels, some folks likey, some folks hatey.
If you can't stand the criticsm, which can be construed or interpreted as a personal attack since an individual has done the mod, then simply don't play the game.
Best advice I can give is mod YOUR truck like YOU want, grow a thick skin, and post up the mods for others to share in. Someone will appreciate it and learn from it, whether to do it or not to do it.
Thus we are a community.

If youve got a problem, why not chase them down and run them into a ditch. (not recomended)
Other than that theres not a whole lot anyone is going to say to get someone to take out a HID conversion or not get one if they have their mind set on it.
also, it depends on the height of your car. I used to have an Accord and when something pulled up behind me, the lights where level with my head. Burned my eyes out.
