Differential plug and filler bolt

Hey everyone,

FNG here. Just bought my first Yota Runner. Changed the tranny fluid and transaxel but run into a problem with front/rear diff.

Are the drain plugs the large recessed bolts on the bottom of the housing?

I think I found the filler plug on the back but where is the filler plug for the front?

Love this forum. Lots of intresting stuff.

Safety & blue skies,

Jeff

The rears are much more obvious, you can see both in this pic.

I believe the front fill you can see it in this pic, the large bolt head just below and left the oil pan.

The blue skies thing is usually a pilot thing.

So, are you in the silent service?

Gadget,

Nope never served but I have a deep respect for those who have and are. Dad was in Navy. My safety and blue skies comes from an underwater recovery about 7 years ago. Won't go into details.
SCUBA instructor for 3 years, over 650 logged dives in 15 years, most in freshwater. A couple of underwater bluffs lets me "fly" from 47ft to 84ft. depending on lake level.

Safety & blue skies,

Jeff

Hey,

Just a note of thanks for the pictures. Changed the fluid with no problems. I just wish Ford and GM would take a hint in the ease of access to drivetrain fluids and components.

Safety & blue skies,

Jeff
