Im looking at one, but it looks purpley?? Can someone post a couple of pics of theirs...the ones the guy is sending me hopefully arent doing it justice. Inside is great, but the exterior looks like a purple grey. He says it isnt, but I need a little more than that to buy it sight unseen.

on a bright day it looks pearly cool... and shimery... but at night or under night lights it almost looks kind of like a "clay" color

Hey JP, my rig is desert dune as well, if you remember what it looks like.

 

Here's a pic of mine. Don't know how anyone could confuse it with purple...

 

Here is one he sent. It just looks like it has a purple tint to it. Its just the camera though...

 

Ya, looks fine to me man. Too many variables.. camera, lighting, reflections, etc.

 

The top can look white and the flares can look silver in certain light, see below for this:



In some light, it looks ALL THE SAME COLOR:





Again, depending on lighting, it can even look white:



The Desert Dune Pearl finish makes the 4Runner a chameleon -- at times it appears to look white or silvery -- depending on the lighting.

 

Looks like the purple was from an overcast day not the actual color of the vehicle.
