3.4L engine & Tranny on Ebay
I am thinking of bidding on this 3.4L engine and tranny to swap into my 95runner with a blown 3.0L engine. What do you guys think? It seems like it would be a good deal for the price even though it has high miles (100K).
And It's close so I don't have to pay for shipping. Anything I should consider? What questions should I ask the seller? What should I do to the engine to get it ready for the swap?
Thanks guys

Make sure if it came out of a wrecked rig it didn't sit upside down for a while. Also I'm sure you've done your research on the swap but apperantly some years make the swap easier over others.. not sure which ones or why without re reading a bunch of stuff.

If you have an auto, then you need an engine that came in front of an auto. Problem is that if it came out of a Runner or a Taco, you will only be able to swap the engine and keep your current tranny. Good news is, if the price is right, someone might take the tranny off your hands.
If you have a stick, the tranny that came with the engine is of less consequence, but you still will have a problem with the transfer case output being on the wrong side.
