Okay. Last question

Which end do I ground? The coming from the engine or the one going to the main DRL switch?

Ground the wire that runs up into the wire loom, not the one that runs into the connector.

Did you also do the other part of the mod on JA's page?

I performed all the steps on JA's site and used your pics as a guide.

1. I bent the top prong up and out
2. Connected the 16 gauge wire with a female disconnect to bent relay prong and then the remaining end to the left side of the tail light fuse
3. Cut the green wire with black stripe and grounded the end coming from the engine to the fuse bolt

Still nothing but when I reconnected the wire to make it back to factory the fog lights worked. What if I used a 10 gauge wire?

Sounds right. Any wire, #16 and up should work.

The only other thing I can think of is a bad crimp, or some other reason for a bad connection.

I don't see what else could be wrong if you have followed the install instructions ( and it sounds like you have). Do you have anyone who could do a circuit test and/or a continuity check for you?

Guys,

I'm giving up on the idea of the fog light mod. That prong is not looking so good and at $50 a pop, Id rather use that money towards some Husky floor mats for the front. I'm just glad I still can turn on my fog lights.

Dang I wish I had the fog lights working with the parking lights. ARGHHHHHHHHHHH

Switch the relay with another identical relay in the relay panel. That will allow you to bend and re-bend a couple more times without breaking anything.

It's driving me nuts that I can't figure out what's going wrong on your mod!

FWIW, for anyone trying any of the fog light mods, there are five identical relays in that relay panel, at least in the 2002 They can be swapped with each other if you feel like the relay you're working with won't tolerate any more bending.

Danny, did you get my email?
