I was just curious if anyone has done this mod on an '03 and to see if it is possible...if so, can the writeups here be followed for the install? Guess i want to find out if its worth doin...thanks for the help

 

Why dont you do it? Is there a flat 4in+ filtered air space on the airbox? If so, then you could do it.

Anyone have any pics of the 4.7L intake?

 

From my quick look at the airbox, there is enough room in the front of it, there is actually a circular indentation already there which is pretty weird...also does this mod void any warranties?

 

The mod would void any warranty associated with the intake. For instance, your engine injests plastic particles and craps out. Then the dealer would have an excuse. But, if you did the mod and your tranny failed, then no.

I bet the 4.7 would sound sweet with the deckplate open!

 

I did the mod on my 03 right after I bought it. Did not notice any performance increase, in fact mabey just the opposite. It does sound deeper when you kick in the pedal. I think it will have a positive effect after I save for the supercharger and headers.
