CV axle boot issue
So both axle's cv boots keep tearing and i dont know what the issue is. I bought one already so i have a life time replacement part for free but i dont have the tools to do the install myself so everytime i have to pay to have it fixed. Any thoughts on why they keep tearing. One of my thoughts might be due to the lift.
Thanks

Yeah, it's easy. I ordered the one from Sonoransteel because it's tapered. You can find them cheaper but that's just the one I went with. He'll send you directions, but basically you don't have to jack or support anything. Parking brake, loosen and remove the bolts holding on the current setup. everything will drop just about an inch, which is enough for you to slide the spacers in, put the new bolts in, new stover nuts on top, and tighten her up. Walla, your done. No more shredded boots!

BTW...Having a diff drop is not going to eliminate the possibility of trashing CV boots. It will only help to minimize it.
