Custom Ski Racks for Tacos

I ski most every weekend...and yeah I can just throw the skis in the bed but was wondering if anyone out there has come up with some kind of nifty custom ski or snowboard rack that fits in the bed of their pickup - something you can build yourself or a mod of some kind of aftermarket product. Pics if ya got 'em.

Ummmm, I don't think that's what he's talking about...........

If you have a bedliner just wedge a 2X4 over the skis, or do what I do....... Every winter fill the box up with snow for some traction, soak it with water, let it freeze, pop open the tailgate burrow a little tunnel, and you got a spot for the skis and poles.

stev, yeah that sounds like it might work - not bad - just if a balmy day or two comes around I'll have to float the yota out of the garage.

Flamed, The link looks like it might work -pretty interesting approach but I feel that that will only work for a snowboard as it is designed for wakeboards....have you tried it?

I have seen people make custom mounts for their Thule racks that mount to the inner rails of the bed. That was cool. Check the Thule site, maybe they have something already

Um, no, I was kidding. I'm a toss-it-in-the-back kind of guy. Maybe a bungee so stuff stays put, that's about it.

Yeah, I just figured if there was somehing easy - it would be worth the effort - I was thinking 2x4s and some rubber mounts or something -just wanted to get an idea if someone had rigged something crazy up.
