I tried Dr. Z's intake silencer removal mod, and like the other S/C guys have reported, there is no change in power. I did however, get a lot more intake noise at low rpm, but it was a whistling sound comming from the s/c drawing in the air. I ended up taking the caps off and putting the silencer back on.

I also decided it was time for a new maglite.

 

The maglite mod is cool. I did mine a while back and use it all the time. It comes in really handy.

 

Where did you get the brackets to mount the Mag-lite?

That's where i got mine, but I couldn't find the brackets alone, they only came in a set

-Mounts for 3D maglite

 

I know they have them on their website, but they may not be available in your area. Sorry, don't know what to tell ya...

If they have just a set of the brackets, let me know. I have a maglite that I am going to put in my camry that could use the mounting brackets.

Yeah each bracket has two screws. I put silicone on each screw to seal off the holes.
