Coils for my 02 4runner
So for xmas im planning on getting my new suspension/lift. At this point in time im going to be staying with the STOCK 265/70/16s. For the front im going to be getting toytec adjustable CO's.
My problem is with the rear. I was originally set on ome 891's but then i was thinking about it, my 4runner is a 02 is already sitting lower to begin with so will those lift me 4in instead of the stated 3? this is where my problem is, i would LOVE to find some springs with a high spring rate somewhere between 890s and 891 but not lift it quite so much. about 2.5in above what i have now would be ideal. Is there anything out there that will satisfy what im looking for? or am i stuck with 890 or 891s?

There are some LC coils but there are a ton of combos. I also heard that they ride nice but if you tow or haul they squat alot.
I had 890s and they were nice but I haul/tow alot and wanted to not squat as much so I have changed to the 891s. I liked the 890s offroad better than the 891s. Offroad the 891s compress and then rebound sometimes to pitch the 4runner. I'm getting used to the feeling.
I wish I had heard of and bought the ToyTec COs when I did my lift. My TRDs are nice the TT COs flex better and they are adjustable.
P.S. The pictures of my 4runner are with the 890s and still the 265/70R16 There is some space in the wheelwells but I don't mind it.

I have been thinking along the same lines. No conclusion on my part but maybe you would like the Sonoran Steel 3.0 lift. Here is a quote from their website.
RAW DATA: This kit lifted a 2001 2WD 4Runner 2" over stock. 1996-97 4WD 1" lift, 2001-02 4WD 1" lift, 1998 & 2000 4WD 1/2" or so lift, 1999 4WD no lift.

i just looked at your pics again and that rear gap with the stock tires is huge imo, and all those load pics are with the 890's correct? if so then thats what i think im going to get. ill just get those so when i eventually get new tires they will fit right it. better to do it right the first time huh.

890s should suit 99% of the forum's readers.
I am running the 891s in the rears and based my decision on Gerdo's loaded up photos.
However I would not recommend the 891s to anyone that does not keep weight loaded in the back end on a constant basis.
Take that for what it is worth....

I have 891's and will be going up to the longer cruiser coils, but I have so much stuff in my car (tools, spares, armor). and i will be lengthening my links 
FJ coils will be too much for you.
