Coilovers

Who has the best riding (and hopefully least expensive) front coilovers for our 3rd Gens? I have some stock LC coils I'm thinking about putting out back, and am weighing all the possibilities for matching them up in the front and so far all the coilovers I have found are a little out of my current budget ...... but maybe someone knows of ones I have not seen?

I was talking about the whole setup, but if you have a suggestion as to what springs and shocks up front would that would nicely match LC Coils and shocks in the back, please let me know. Wish I could drop the coin for a SS and be done with it but that won't happen for some time, plus I already have the LC springs and I have the opportunity to install some nice inexpensive 33's right now so I need the lift now, not later.

I did see those, just unsure of the ride of the OME's and would I be able to keep the shocks I currently have? ..... I am definitely planning on a diff drop.

It should ride stiffer, i just installed spacers and you can tell it rides a little harder, but it doesn't really matter to me. And yes you can keep your stock shocks.

I just read your sig line, which Toytec lift did you go with? Rear coils and spacers up front or spacers all the way around? From the reading it seems the it does stiffen up with the spacers, but that would not worry me too much as I know I'd go to coilovers eventually, but the OME coils do fit my current budget, so it's a coil or spacer choice for me I guess.

..... as a side note, do you have any pics of your painted rims? I just picked up a used set of Limited 5 spokes and have been thinking about going charcoal grey, would love to hear/see yours!

I went with the 3" spacer in the front, and 890 coils in the rear with the diff drop. I used rust-oleum metallic knight chrome spray paint and some off-brand primer. And the tires are stock 265/70/16.

Not trying to be offensive here, so just take it for what its worth, k?

If you can't afford coilovers for your rig, why are you lifting it right now?

What is this obsession with "right now" that infests this place?

Seriously here, you are willing to sacrifice quality and ride for a "quick fix" feel good moment. Would it kill you to save for a couple of months to get the extra cash to get something worthwhile?

Anyway, get what you want. The cheap crap works just as well as the expensive stuff, just usually not as long nor does it ride as nice. Who knows? You may like it better than the good stuff.
