Hi, I have a factory stereo and I need to reset the security. I believe I have the 6 digit code for my unit. I don't have the 3 digit unlock code. If anyone knows the procedure to enter the 6 digit master reset code it would be greatly appreciated.

No ing way I'm going to pay the dealer $100 for them to enter the code. I'll just put an aftermarket system in at that point. In fact I'll bet that the cost of reseting the security codes has cost toyota owners more in total than has the few stolen factory stereos.

Bump... My buddy took his factory deck out to try and replace some burnt out lights, and now it doesn't work. Any help would be great!

 

I think you have to take it to the dealership so they have to reset it, atleast thats what you have to do with Mitsubishi.

 

Sometimes you have to actually mail it to the manufacturer for them to unlock it.

Thats how my friends little Mitsubishi is.

Didn't make sense to me, seems like taking it to the dealer would work too, but you never know.

 

Uh, we had a Volvo, and we couldn't find the reset code for it, so we just called the dealership, we gave them the VIN, and they gave us the code. Try that. It was FREE.
