Well Y'all...
I missed getting to Nap for the cleaner stuff so tomrrow I will go after work...
First I will check all connections an what not just to double check...
Who know either a branch or a squirl could have goten under there while I was driving down the road and knocked something lose...
Then I will clean the MAF and hrolttle body (cause lord knows that thing needs a cleanin too...)
Then I will start her up and go get the code cleared...
If the light pops up again and the same eroor comes up then it must be that the o2 sensor has gone out...

The reason I had to clean my K&N so many time is cause yeah...
Mud Is My Firend...

I am suprised any of the sensors didn't go after the first mudding trip...
But I also remember that I hadn't put the K&N in until after that first trip...
So I am really startring to think it is the filter that is causing all the issues...
And as for cleaning the MAF the car was a Norther Jersey Car, and It sat...

Boy did she sit....

I am driving it and like I said drives just like it did before this little CEL issue so...

I always thought cleaning the MAF was a normal routine maintance anyway...
I mean it does help woth your gas mileage and what not...
And since all of us do alot of off-raodin and such I wouldn't be suprised it if got dirty...

But anywho...

Also tomorrow while doing all of this I will get my diff breather on and findally my disconnects (after I saw off the old one that is rusted on there pretty tight....)

All I have to do is get some money to actually contirbute to the site and then it will def feel like family...

Not like it dosen't now...

If I could pick any one of you to work on my car any day I would...
I almost cry when I leave it some where else...
Seperation anxiety...
LOL

But anywho
Thanks alot Y'all
This is really helping me out...

Check engine light P0304...4th cylinder misfire

Can anyone give me any ideas on what I can do to fix my problem on my Tacoma? I have changed my spark plugs with the stock dual electrodes from the dealership and last night switched my NGK blue wires back to stock...still have the issue and is VERY frustrating...I have not taken it to any Toyota Dealership fearing on how much it will cost to fix my poor truck. Please give me any suggestions asap. Thank you!

hows your distro cap and rotor? when i changed mine i think 2 and 5 electrodes were worn a bit more then the other. and the rotor was just beat. i was gonna say coil, but thats been changed, so hmm...clogged injector?, your timing could be way off, maybe you jumped a tooth, or two on your timing belt, all just guesses

okay a little issue guys...
I lost my Haynes manual...
(I think it's trapped in moms lexus from the time I was driving it around while the Runner was getting the rear axel work...)
My MAF looks nothing like the one in the pics in the link on the maintence...
My entire air intake hardly looks like that...
Maybe cause mine is a 97' and those might be associated with a later model 3.4L engine...
I have pics though...
just curious if one I am lookin at what I think is the MAF and two how the heck do I get mine off?

Here are the pics, sorry for the blurriness, the camera of course had to die just now....

Thats the entrie intake...
Compared to the intake in the other pic it is somewhat diffrent...

That is what I think is the MAF
Sorry It's Blurry
It says Toyota on the top and Denso on the bottom of the sticker...
And reading the site I see denso every where as being a good thing obviously so...

Help...

While I wait for responses I will work on the Diff breathers...

But my laptop is wireless so I will be cheicking it every min...

OH!!!

And sorry it looks so muddy, that will change after the MAF is clean out... I have the engine cleaning solution I saw in another post (simple green MAX atumotive is what i think i got?)
So it will be all shinny too....

::Update::
My Diff Breather is finally in after some persuation
(Will get pics of that up in my sig page once it stops raining again...)

Two I have my MAF off...
Here are pics:

And here is the stuff I am gonna use to clean it...
The pic on the can looks almost exactly like the MAF in mine so....
Plus is Says Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner on it so you would think that that is it's purpose:

I think I might do a write up for us 96' & 97' 3.4L guys since our MAF's look diffrent as to the ones shown in the link i was given...

Tell me what you guys think....
(again ignore the mud on the MAF it will be cleaned along with the rest of the engine...)

Will do...
The entire sensor is a huge unit...
I don't know when the change was made to the 3.4L to make it just one sensor but yeah...

Now once I get my MAF back in how do I clear the CEL?
Is it just unplug and plug the Battery back in?

The MAF is waiting to go in...
I need to know how and when I should reset the CEL...
1) How do I reset the CEL?
2) Should I first put the MAF in and srat her up just to get here going?
or
3) Put the MAF back in, Reset the CEL and then start her up?
