Talking Cheap, easy Hi-Lift mount

I mounted my Hi-lift with 2 U-bolts, and 4 wing nuts, to my load warrior. Cost: under $5, It sure beats paying +$30 for a mount.

I hope the pics work

Yep.. and square u-bolts will work great with Thule racks!! I kept mine like that for a long time on my old roof rack, but I had to go to the Jack-rac that Hi-lift sells for my new rack..

Cool green BTW..

Suhweet! Hey I just installed my new roof rack and got a high lift but have not figured out what to do for mounting. Great idea, thanks.

I had mine like that before, but I got a 4X rac from Hi-Lift and have the jack mounted on my Thule bars. It works, but the 4x-Rac is lockable.

Looks good, very innovative!

I bought the Slee mount for mine, and it hooks onto the overhang of my Yakima crossbars as seen here.

Yakima now makes a Hi-Lift mount as seen in the above URL, although the pic won't take you to it, as Yakima now uses Flash on their site, and my URLs no longer work.

Yours looks nice, and it's nice to come up with your own ideas.
I came up with a few of my own also for a shovel and jerry can mount on my Load Warrior.

I love the shovel mount you came up with, Corey, I'm going to use that for sure. I've seen most of the Hi-lift mounts made. I just didn't want to spend the money on one since I'm starting college and dont have a job right now. plus it's cooler when you do it yourself.
