Can you open hatch with Yak Loadwarrior extension?

I just got a 02 4Runner today -- waoohh -- I want to get a roof basket and I have a buddy that runs a shop and he can get the Loadwarrior shipped in all for $210 and the extension for another $60. I assume this is a good price as he said it was his cost -- but with the extension, can the hatch of my 4Runner still open fully, or do I have to take the extension off to open the hatch - I've seen all your pictures of yak racks and some with extensions, but have never seen a hatch open. My 4Runner also has a sunroof and a factory roof rack. Thanks for any information: I'm sure I'm going to get the loadwarrior, and would like to get the extension, if I can open the hatch fully. I will be using the basket mostly for camping gear to take the two boys to the mountains --thanks

Agreed. Only issue will be if you want to run a fairing on the front (that will anchor how far forward you can move your stock racks w/o running into the sunroof.

Dunno. If you give us the dimensions we can give you comparisons to load warriors (with and without extensions). as noted above, load warrior w/extension is no issue as long as there's no fairing (ferring?).

Should be no problems. If you get the standard width bars (Which I remembered what I got) there will be no room for bike trays (which is good if you want a clean look up top). And with no fairring you should have no problems clearing the hatch and the sunroof.

Happy racking!

Don't forget to post pics, as I am interested in how this looks. If it looks really good, then I might put it on my list of mods.

Here's a normal LoadWarrior

I take it off when I don't need it, which has only been once so far. That I needed it, so everyday use, it's off.
