Camper set-up

As most of you know, I've got a nice little camper set up in the back of my canopy. Here's a pic of it:

I love it, it works great. Though I'm considering only making room for one, instead of two, and turn the extra space into more storage. The reason I say this is because it is a touch on the packed side. So, what is your take on this. More storage, or more sleeping room. I don't have a prob with the sleeping room at all, nor do I have anybody to take up the extra space. I am going to be installing, finally, my 1000 watt inverter with dual deep cycle batteries back there. I also plan on obtaining a water tank, but I'm not sure about that.

If, and only if I do end up doing this, I'm sure I'll completely start from scratch. Therefore the wood frame would be up for sale, how much would you pay for a wood frame like this?

Carpet the wood and that thing would look sharp as HECK!
I'd leave the room for two, as one never knows when one might meet a new "friend" out on the trail But then, that sort of thing is what's usually on my mind, so...What can I say? I hate to admit it, but I fear I'm a terrible slut. Not something most men will admit to, but I've come to terms with it

While that is possible for most men, not so much for me, hehe.

I guess I really don't need the room for 2, but i'm just seeing what other people think

leave the room for 2 people there will be times when all that room just isnt enough for 1 person.... i dont fit in my truck bed without laying diagonally, and hten its still not very comfortable.....

no leaving that can of paint thinner there either... if it spills or just gives off fumes you could kill yourself in one night....

That's denatured ethanol. I use it for one of my cooking stoves.

i want a tacoma bed as a trailer and build that camper set up.... best for both worlds. how sweet would it be to see a runner pulling a taco bed with like 35s...

oh and i would leave room for 2. otherwise it might get a little clostrophobic (sp?)

Well, I don't get clostrophobic so I guess that's ok for me. I'll just experiment with different setups and see how I like it.

in response to one of your questions, i'd easly part with $50 for a setup like this if i liked its functionality and it felt sturdy. problem of course would be getting it from point A to point B. then again, a road trip to MT wouldn't be all bad ;-) now i just need a topper...

we've used a set up like your for years in several datsun trucks and now the taco.... i'd like to work something like this into my runner but not loose the use of the rear seat... so it would have to have a section the breaks down into the back when the seat is up, kind of tricky when you have the rollbar back there... subs...spare... tools...
i'd like to have the spare outside and have aire and a/c in the stock spare location

Well, I just got my inverter installed. Along with the deep cycle battery. I ended up getting a group 29 deep cycle battery. Talk about a beast! So now I've got 1000 watts of 120 V. I believe that the reserve capacity on this battery is about 210 mins. which should be more than plenty.

I'll get pics after my camping trip and let you all know how it works out.
