Cabin filter

Does an '02 4Runner have a cabin filter? I know it has a blower fan (which I cleaned out) but not sure if it has a cabin filter.

I just had a quick look through TIS and it looks like there is no filter for that year.

no filter, if it did, you would have seen it right above your fan

Check the size of the airbox above the fan you may be able to MacGyver a filter from an 03 in there.
I'd love to add one to my 94 but I have'nt found a dealer willing to let me measure the sizes of the various cabin filters yet...

Speaking of that if some member with an 03 or later could post a pic of the mount/location of the cabin filter on their truck it would sure help out everybody looking to retrofit one in...

i was actually thinking of somehow taking a filter from either a in home filter or one that goes in the newer corollas ($25) and somehow retro fitting.. when i get time ill take a gander at mine and take pics.. dont hold me to that bc i am busy as hell but i would love a cabin filter of somesort.

i am curious if you can swap out the top (above the fan) part of the air tube and replace with a 2003 - 2004 (3rd gernation taco) air tube. cant be too much of a difference. they are the same damn truck ya know?

mk, I hope you get it figured out! I didn't even know 03-04 Taco's had the cabin filters. That'd be awesome if it can be just simply bolted in.

yeah i know.. all we need is a pic of a 2003+ taco's area behind the glove box and the same from the 2002- ..... it may be enough to compare.

A couple pics with some measurements would be great! I have no idea what they even look like.
