@*%# broke interior pannel.

Well this morning I was taking an orbital sander back to Lowes. We'd been redoing the hardwood floors in our bedroom. Anyways the thing decided to roll over. It snapped a piece of plastic off one of the pannels in the cargo area. It's the big pannel on the drivers side. About a 10" section the make a nice arc about 2" wide at the center snapped off the end of the pannel. I guess it was cold enough back there it just snapped.

Anyways, before I call the stealership anyone know how much this will run. I wish it had been the other side. I had been thinking about findind a later model, I have a 98, passengers side pannel so i could have more storage room. It would have been a nice excuse.

Are all 3rd get passengers side pannels the same? I belive I have the oak interior. I took a pic of it with my phone, to send to my girlfriend, but I can'y transfer it to my computer at work. I'll try to hook that up when I get home.

Example of my interior color.

Ok. Called them and shipping was going to be a boat load cause of how big the piece is.

also dealt with "webilt" and he sold me an oak colored lower dash piece for my 4runner. fair pricing and shipping was not bad either for a moderately sized item. see what he's got, i think his list says he's parting the '96 4runner and that's what my part came out of. otherwise, the old advice of checking local yards or ebay but i doubt ebay is going to have one listed. also, post in the "wanted" section or look in the classifieds here, you may get lucky (on the part that is)

Guys, ya gotta remember how big those panels are in your third gens. Shipping companies charge dimensionally over a certain size, and those panels are about 36"x45" or so. UPS equates it to a package weighing about 200 lbs, becuase of the space it takes up.

PKT1213: Best bet is to find one locally, and see if it has a good panel in it. I would be happy to locate a local wrecking yard for you if you send me your Zipcode.

BTW, you will want one from a 1996-1998 only. In 1999 they changed.

I live in Springfield, MO. 65806.

As far as I know there are 2 about 15 minutes from me but as I remember neither one of them have oak interior and one had a fire so know that that one is bad one way or the other.

What changed in 99? Would it clip into the same place? I know the passenger side pannel changed to the bigger storage compartment and was thinking about finding one.
