Bought a new truck today!!

Well, I did it. I purchased a new 2002 Tacoma extended cab, TRD, 5-speed, 4cyl., 4x4 and will be picking it up tommorow. I have been searching for awhile for the right truck and finally found it. When I get time I will post some pics.

Thanks guys!! I can't wait to share the pics. I have been searching for a used Tacoma for 3 months, but was unable to find what I wanted. Finally, I broke down and had my dealer search for a new one. We searched Toyota's database and in a 20 state region this was the only truck that match my option requirments. I had to settle on the color though (Impulse red with Oak interior). I wanted black or radiant red but oh well. You guys probably have the color I want at your local lot. Anyway I can't wait to pick it up. This is a replacement vehicle for my VW Passat, so it is a total Toyota family.

Thanks again all.

Krash,

I hope the Card's don't go any lower. Just remember the Card's won the only game that counts in KY land.

Yeah, I really don't keep up with it but my dad talks about it alot. When I seen your Icon it just reminded me of the paper that is taped in front of my time clock at work. I think it was the game the Pitino got thrown out of.

Aww c'mon. That's the best color combination ever made. Everyone knows that. Just ask around. You'll see.

Cangratulations on the new truck. It sure sounds like a beauty. That is exactly the same truck that my neighbor drives.

Well here are some pics of the truck.

It is a rare version with the 4 cyl. Notice under the SR5 in the rear that there is no V-6 emblem. Sorry for the crappy photos.

Thanks for the compliment. I need to figure out my first mod. I have a set of Hella Micro FF's sitting around and would love to install, but the bumper is not that accomadating. Any suggestions on my 1st mod?

Nice!

First suggestion...if you have another $400 to spend, go get the bed sprayed (Line-X, Arma, etc.).

You will enjoy the I-4 (and 5-speed), check with me if you have any questions...

first mod should be OME 882's and an AAL. should only cost under 300 to do it. gives about 3in lift.

Yeah, them too.

I don't think you can go wrong with a liner. I have seen them all, and they all take the abuse quite nicely. The do look different though (texture). Browse around and pick your favorite.

(I like my Line-X)
