Bolt on sliders for a 3rd gen ?
I have read all the arguments about welding onto the frame and I am looking for bolt on sliders as with my recent luck, I must plan on being able to remove everything from this truck if it gets totalled or I have to sell.
I am sure someone other than 4crawler used to do bolt on as I am looking for a bar that serves dual puprose and also has a more integrated look like a Stubbs.
Anyone ??
Thanks
David

Good question. I've wondered the same thing. This may help.

Which is better? Or are they both just as good? (bolt on vs weld on)

Any sliders that use scab plates for mounting could be made bolt on. Just drill some holes.
Are you planning on totalling or selling your truck? If not then just weld them on. In the worst case scenario you can always cut or grind them off.

I got Steve's old sliders... Rockstomper... It is bolt on but also required drilling into the pinch welds... A whole bunch of holes... If you remove it and put the factory running board on, it would cover it... However in my case, when I got it finally installed, the boxy end of the fender flare for the rear doors had to be shaved just so I could open the door.
